STORY
Everyone loves a good story, especially if it deals with reducing, reusing, and recycling! (Also offered at CRRA Visitors Center & Trash Museum in Hartford)
WORMS
Worms are fascinating creatures. See what they eat and where they live. Children learn up close how these critters dig into recycling! (Also offered at CRRA Visitors Center & Trash Museum in Hartford)
TRASH DETECTIVES
Everyone loves a good mystery. In this program, children become super sleuths, hot on the trash trail. INTERMEDIATE PROGRAMS
PLASTICS 101
Imagine your life without plastics! Your daily life would never be the same. There are hundreds of types of plastics that we use. In this program, we discuss the origins of plastics, specific types of plastics, and some of their properties. Students hypothesize, observe, and draw conclusions from demonstrations using a variety of plastics. (Also offered at CRRA Visitors Center & Trash Museum in Hartford)
TRASH BINGO
You’ve never played Bingo like this before! Here’s a chance to play a classic game with a trashy twist that mixes fun and learning. (Also offered at CRRA Visitors Center & Trash Museum in Hartford)
HUMAN TIC-TAC-TOE
Correctly answer the recycling questions and “get on board” - the giant tic-tac-toe board, that is!
WORMS
Back by popular demand! Find out what worms eat and excrete and why they are so neat!
WOOL SOCK
How long does it take for a plastic six-pack ring to “break down” in the environment? How about a wool sock? Students can examine the biodegradability of natural and man-made items by forming a human timeline.
