CRRA operates four transfer stations as part of the Mid-Connecticut Project system, and one recycling transfer station for its Southwest Division recycling system. At a transfer station, member towns and approved private haulers deliver trash and recyclables, which is aggregated and loaded onto transfer trailers and trucked to CRRA’s Mid-Connecticut Project trash-to-energy plant and recycling processing center.
