 In addition to the towns  listed here, dozens of  private haulers  throughout the existing  Mid-Connecticut territory  have signed contracts  with CRRA. The haulers  and municipalities have  committed a total of  529,156 tons of trash  per year to the system  effective November 16,  2012. The system's  optimum capacity  starting that date will be  712,000 tons per year,  so just 180,844 tons  per year remain  available.
