PUBLIC HOURS

The Garbage Museum will be closed today, June 25, 2010, due to the effects of Thursday's storm.

The Garbage Museum will begin its summer hours July 1, 2010.

Please call 203-381-9571, click on Special Events or visit our Facebook page for information about additional programs.

$2 admission (3 years and under free)

September through June

Monday and Tuesday closed.

Wednesday through Friday - public hours 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Scheduled group tours are available Tuesday through Friday, starting at 9 a.m and ending at 3:45 p.m.

July and August

Monday -- closed

Tuesday -- open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesday through Friday -- open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Scheduled group tours are available Tuesday through Friday, starting at 9 a.m and ending at 3:45 p.m.

The Garbage Museum closes at 2 p.m. on Friday before President's Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day; day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

The Garbage Museum is CLOSED on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, day after Christmas

DIRECTIONS

From New York City:

I-95 North to Connecticut Exit 30, Lordship Boulevard. Bear right off exit. At fifth light, take a right onto Honeyspot Road Extension. The museum is the last building on the right.

From New Haven area:

I-95 South to Exit 30, Surf Avenue. Left off ramp, go to light and make a left onto Lordship Boulevard. Go three lights and make a right onto Honeyspot Road Extension. The museum is the last building on the right.

From Hartford Area:

I-84 West to Route 8, South to Bridgeport. Stay on Route 8 as it joins Route 25 and continue to I-95. Move to the left lane and take I-95 North to Exit 30 (Lordship Boulevard). Bear right off exit. At fifth light make a right onto Honeyspot Road Extension. The museum is the last building on the right.
