The Garbage Museum and the Trash Museum, operated by the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority, are looking for volunteers to help with their award-winning education programs. The museums teach more than 50,000 children and adults each year about recycling, conservation of energy and natural resources, environmental responsibility and the impact that routine choices can have on the planet.

Volunteers’ duties would include greeting and assisting visitors, answering telephones, preparation of program materials and other tasks as needed. Volunteers could eventually be trained to lead tours and educational programs.
