The Southeast Project is upgrading the emissions control equipment at its trash-to-energy plant to keep it in compliance with all applicable clean air standards.

Financially, CRRA expects the Southeast Project to continue making significant improvements. Its financial performance should allow the project not only to continue providing cost-effective waste disposal services, but to effect future environmental improvements and perhaps to assist member towns with other waste challenges.

Municipal service agreements between participating cities and towns and the Southeast Project expire in 2015, meaning Southeast Project towns will have reliable, affordable solid waste disposal for years to come.

CRRA looks forward to working together in the future to maintain and expand this success.
